Inspiration Before Expiration| Too Faced Natural Matte: Look 1

Hey Glamour Babes,

Today’s video features the Too Faced Natural Matte palette.

This Look, which is 1 out of 7, is part of a series that I will be doing called “Inspiration Before Expiration”.  I created this series because in the mist of the makeup hoarding trend, I wanted to create looks that could potentially inspire you to use your own palette and get as much use as possible before they expire, because makeup really DOES expire!
As always, I hope you guys enjoyed this video and until my next post…HAVE A GLAMOROUS DAY!

Beginning A New Series: Inspiration Before Expiration

Hey Glamour Babes!

FYI…I am creating a series primarily on my YouTube channel (that will also feature on my other social media accounts) called “Inspiration Before Expiration”.  I was inspired to create this series because although I love collecting makeup and I will even admit that I am a “makeup junkie” by some standards, by nature, I don’t like to be wasteful.  So I decided to create various go-to looks with the palettes that I own.  The goal is to create seven looks and these looks can be used as go-to option for each day of the week (or used however desired).

Tons of Palettes Snapshot

My Palette Collection Preview

If you guys remember “Project Pan”, which was a challenge on social media to “hit pan” or use up your products (Google “Product Pan” for more information). The idea behind “Inspiration Before Expiration” is similar in the sense that it encourages maximum use out of your products as well.

For those of us who love collecting products or who are just downright makeup junkies, you know how it is…We get excited about new launches, tell ourselves that we HAVE to have the next thing that catches our attention. meanwhile,  interest in the things that we already have (sadly, even products we JUST purchased) start to dwindle and potentially end up in makeup graveyard!  There is nothing wrong with loving to collect makeup, but personally, I don’t think it’s a healthy habit to spend money on my products, yet neglect them or NOT use them.  It simply creates an unstable working relationship between myself and my products!  I mean some of the items in my stash already feel hurt due to me having chosen favorites (in my head anyway).  The LEAST I could do is try to make the most out of them, right?

We spend GOOD coin to get glam-a-fied!  It’s time we fall back in love and appreciate what we have and vow to make use out of those “supplies” before they expire because MAKEUP DOES EXPIRE!  It is my hopes, that you will be able to find inspiration with your palettes and any other beauty products for that matter, and get the most enjoyment out of all that stuff as possible. And if any of you out there are like me, then I’m sure you loved ones will agree!

Until my next post…Have a glamorous day!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette Review

I actually did this review a while ago, but honestly put posting it on the backburner for whatever reasons…

I know this palette has been out for a while and I filmed this video a while ago, but thought that I would upload it anyway to share my thoughts on this palette.  I will later be bringing you guys some looks with this palette so please check out this video and stay tuned for that!

ABH did an awesome job with the formulation in this palette. The shadows in this palette are so pigmented and blends like a dream!  I love that this is a “neutral” palette, but the shades are different than what we were seeing for a while since the whole neutral eyeshadow palette revolution.

Many people feel like the shades in this palette work great for Fall.  In my opinion, this palette is a GREAT Fall palette, but I feel like you could do wonders with it during the warmer months, because of the warm shades available.

Check out these shades tho’!

Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair

As you may know, I have been on a healthy haircare journey for quite some time now.  Over the years, I have tried MANY hair care products and plead guilty for being a product junkie!

The bright side to being a self-professed “product junkie, is that I can bring you guys reviews on products to potentially help you make more educated decisions.  Recently, I picked up a few products from Cantu Shea Butter for Natural Hair. I’ve been wanting to try these products for some time now, so I decided to pick up the products that I was most interested in, which was the shampoo, conditioner and curl activator cream.  Here are my thoughts…

Cleansing Cream Shampoo:  Great for deeply cleansing the hair,  Created without sulfates, but still provides a reach lather that can help with detangling; Has a tropical scent of pinna colada or coconut.  Verdict:  Good! Love that this shampoo lathers REALLY well and did a great job at cleansing my hair. This did leave my hair a bit hard to detangle, after I treated my hair with a light protein treatment a couple of times, but this did not happen at all prior to me doing the protein treatments.

Hydrating Cream Conditioner: Created to provide hydration and moisture to the hair after cleansing; Provides “slip” for detangling; Has the same tropical scent as the shampoo.  Verdict: OK. Did its job. This conditioner did not wow me, BUT it does do its job in hydrating the hair,  provided a good amount of slip on my very curly-kinky natural hair during detangling, especially for the price point.

Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream: Great for smoothing frizz, moisturizing the hair, and enhancing natural curl pattern during styling;  Has the same tropical scent as the shampoo and conditioner.  Verdict:  OK. Did a good job moisturizing my hair and helping take care of frizz.  This would be good for wash and go styles.  However, this product was kind of sticky and leaves a white cast on the hair once dried. I tend to have this issue with Cantu Shea Butter’s products for some reason, even if I am light-handed with the product. I did find that this worked best on slightly damp to wet hair, but overall, I would say there are other products out there within the same price point, that I would prefer.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post.  If you want additional information about this products on just want to reach out to me, feel free to comment or hit me up on my other social media platforms as well.  Until next time….live life glamorously!

Hopefully, this video will help you make such executive decisions!

I am excited to report that I was a winner of Giovanni’s Fall 2016 social media sweepstakes.  I have had plenty of time to test out and try these products.   Here are my thoughts…
